Introduction

Astrology birth charts provide a detailed insight into ones personality and life. They represent the positions of the sun, moon and planets at the exact time and location of one’s birth. They also take into account the precise time of day a person was born.

This means that astrology birth charts are unique, and very rare for different people to share similar aspects when it comes to interpretation of the chart.

Step 1 – Creating a Birth Chart

There are three ways to create a birth chart, such as:

Use computer software such Solar Fire Gold.
Create a chart manually using an emphermis. There are books that can show you the manual methods to calculate charts.
Use an online chart creation tool. This article will only discuss creating astrology birth charts using online tools. Below explains how to use an online astrology birth chart creation tool.

Step 2 – Interpret Sun, Moon and Planet positions

Astrology birth chart interpretation is simpler when the chart is broken down into individual pieces. Once we have all the individual interpretations for the positions of the sun, moon and planets. We can them summarise the overall meaning. Birth chart interpretation can be a complicated task. Every person will have their own technique. The technique I am about to show you is how I do it. This guide is based on my own birth chart:

1. INTERPRET THE SUN SIGN

Below are examples of the subheading you can use. In fact, it is likely you will only need these subheadings, no matter who you are constructing a reading for!

Step 5 –Take note of important chart features

1. Are there Stelliums (group of celestial bodies)?

Look at the chart in step 1. What are the important astrology birth chart interpretation features? First of all there is a stellium of moon and planets in the 4^th This means keywords associated with the 4^th house is important to that person such as home, family, past, roots. There is also a satellitium of planets in the 5^th This means keywords associated with that house also play an important role in that person’s life such as love, fun, gambling.

2. How are the celestial bodies scattered across the chart?

Nearly all the celestial bodies fall within the lower part of the chart. Usually this is a good indication that the person is more introverted then extrovert.

3. Importance of the Suns house.

The house the sun falls in is a good indication of ones path in life.

Step 6 –Modify and tweak your interpretations so they make sense

By now you should have interpreted all your celestial positions. Then categorized them under certain sub headings. It may of taken you along time. The good news is that my online natal chart report does this for you, plus it arranges the individual interpretations into certain categories (such as the ones in this example). Therefore my astrology birth chart interpretation report completes steps 1 to 4!

You have almost created the perfect astrology birth chart interpretation. Look back at your individual interpretations of the sun, moon and planets (or on the free computerized astrology report generator). You will probably notice some contradictions and repetitions between them. Don’t worry this is perfectly normal. It is the skill of an astrologer to assess the overall meaning of a chart, and decide what statements are true. This step involves modifying some of your statements so that the astrology reading makes sense, and flows. Remember that you are essentially describing someone’s personality and life. Some astrologers use astrological jargon in their readings such as sun in house 8 means your this, your ascendant is this, etc. I don’t include details of positions, as I like to keep things simple and clear. I only write about the person’s unique traits and life experiences.

Step 7 –Apply Aspect Modifications

Your interpretation in step 6 should be rather good by now. However, we can choose to improve this accuracy further by applying the most important chart aspects. For those of you that do not know, chart aspects are sensitive angles in a chart between celestial bodies such as the Sun, Moon and Planets. Aspects can help you have extra confidence in interpretations you were not sure of in step 6. Or it could highlight extra importance of certain interpretations that require more emphasis.

I like to make life simple, which is why I only consider the Conjunction, Trine and Square aspects. Below I have analysed my most important aspects. Although my chart has many aspects, I only consider ones within a certain amount of degrees as the most important. I ignore aspects that fall outside my degree limits.

1. Conjunctions

Conjunctions are when the Sun, moon or planets are next to each other in the chart. I only take into account conjunctions that are within 1 degree. Below are the conjunctions that are within a 1 degree orb, for my chart (in step 1):
